Our Technology

We perform laser hair removal using a medical-grade laser called the LightSheer Diode, the first FDA approved laser for safe, effective, and permanent hair removal. The LightSheer Laser has long-term, clinical data that documents its ability to permanently reduce hair growth for female and male clients with a range of skin colours and hair types. It can also safely remove hair from all parts of the body (except eyebrows - see Advanced Electrolysis).

The laser produces a beam of highly concentrated, near-infrared light that is absorbed by the skin's pigment via the hair follicles. Our Certified Laser Technician pulses the laser for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment in the hair and disable the future hair growth without damaging the surrounding skin.

One of the benefits of the LightSheer Diode is the patented, built-in, Chill Tip. This provides contact cooling to the skin, prior to the laser pulses through the skin. It works to protect the upper layer of skin and enables the laser's energy to travel deeper into the hair follicle. Essentially, its job is to make sure your treatment is safe, comfortable, and effective. In addition, for highly sensitive areas our clients will benefit from our Synercool technology, which cools the treated area alongside the LightSheer Diode tip.

What To Expect ...

For most clients , achieving desired results, requires 5-8 treatments. In some cases there may be an occasional touch-up required over an extended period of time. Any hair left on the treated area thereafter is typically much lighter and finer than the original hair.

Regular treatments, spaced 4-10 weeks apart, are necessary for optimal results. Different areas require different treatment schedules. In most cases, you will be asked to shave the area the night before your treatment. You will also have the option of applying Dr.Numb, an anaesthetic numbing cream, to the area prior to treatment to minimize any potential discomfort.
